Crossing social and cultural barriers, experience includes joint media programs with indigenous North American spiritual leaders, environmental issue projects, experimental film in New York, and more recently programs focusing on Tibetan Buddhist worldview. You are Dreaming Me is the third program of a Tibetan cultural trilogy that explores Buddhist philosophical themes of film-making, dream-like reality and magical illusion.
DR KUNSANG DOLMA SHERPA
Originally from Solukhumbu district of Nepal and being brought from a Buddisht culture, she has tremendous experience of observing Buddism philosophy closely. She has witnessed and internalized the education and health care needs of the under privileged and marginalized people from the remote areas of Nepal especially the needs of nuns and monks. Being inspired to serve these needy people, she chose her career in the field of medical professionalism so that she could take care of health care needs of these people. While working as a medical officer in charitable organizations and hospitals, she realized the pressing health care need of women and simultaneous deficiency of the respective skill, so she decided to pursue her career in field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Brigitta is a researcher and scholar of Buddhism, with special interest on gender issues and Buddhist pilgrimage places. She spent two years researching in Nepal and India, where she lived with indigenous communities as well as in Buddhist monasteries. Upon returning to Europe, she established her tour company and now she organizes cultural-spiritual tours to several Asian countries. Her tour company also supports numerous local NGO`s. Besides her tourism business, she is working on publications and translations of various Buddhist teachings and books."
